Business Interruption (BI) at Photovoltaic Power Plant (PVPP)

Business Interruption is a real loss in production of electricity. It may be caused by an accident within the power plant or outside it.

Business Interruption is a real loss in production of electricity. It may be caused by an accident within the power plant or outside it. For example, in the medium voltage transmission network.
There may also be an interruption in business in cases where one of the plant protections was activated without an accident, as a result of an emergency situation – a momentary a parameter value out of its operating limits.

In such a situation, for the accurate calculation of the loss, data from the plant operating logs, which are kept daily, is required. Information is needed on the regular maintenance of the power plant, as well as on the conditions and exact time of the outage.

Much of this information may be obtained through remote access to the control centre software, which access the insured is required to provide.

Panels tilt during operation

The optimal tilt of photovoltaic panels for the latitude of Bulgaria is from 25°C to 35°C.

Electricity production data

Tabular data from each inverter, string box and string information of the PV power plant.

Electricity production data

Graphical data of each inverter for different periods of time – year, month, week.
